Alexey Arestovich: The world is a struggle of types of consciousness.

Synopsis from the front:

There is a struggle in the world–not geopolitics with geo-economics or the Bilderberg Club with the Rothschilds and the Golden Billion with BRICS, nor of civilizations and religions, nor Sovok [Soviet Union] with independence (although it is taking place), and not the capitalists with the oppressed majority.

There is a struggle of types of consciousness in the world. The only way to defeat it is to become the bearer of a new type of consciousness.

This type–this is what humanity intended: proud, direct, calm, serious and funny, clever and strong people who above all else appreciate free, creative work, knowledge and eternally sail beyond the horizon.

Not afraid. Not whining. They stubbornly go forward.

People with an extraordinary will power, the mind of a philosopher, an athlete’s body and the soul of an artist.

People who were set free from the captivity of the temptations, pettiness, struggle with their own kind, from baiting the world and its inhabitants, from fear–of not making it in time, of not eating, of not having anything to wear, of not outrunning, not earning enough, not buying.

People whose hand you can always rely on to lean on, whose heart you can count on, whose mind you can trust.

Hurry up and become new people!..

Spaceship “Earth” is heading out on a great adventure!

Beyond the horizons of the universe, to the eternal radiance of love and light.

1

The Ukrainian army and territorial defense battalions have occupied several key positions on the outskirts of Pervomaysk and are preparing for a full-scale assault on the city.

After the liberation of Popasna, terrorists of the LNR [Luhansk People’s Republic] left the city and retreated towards Pervomaysk–the last foothold on the outskirts of Stakhanov, in which the reserve headquarters of the self-proclaimed leader of the LNR, Valery Bolotov, is located, reports Espreso.TV, citing informants.

Now the Ukrainian army and territorial defense battalions have occupied several key positions on the outskirts of Pervomaysk and are preparing for a full-scale assault on the city. Ukrainian artillery support the offensive operation with their fire.

2 3

Reporters visited the firing positions of the 55th Artillery Brigade of the Armed Forces, 20 kilometers from Popasna.

4

Artillery gunners are protected by a separate specialized Donbas Battalion. Donbas soldiers are similarly engaged in the scouting and adjustment of the insurgents’ firing positions. The positions of the terrorists are found by drone airplane, which Donbas residents assembled with their own hands.

5 6

According to the deputy commander of the battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Maksym Pavlenko, gunners take into account not only the reconnaissance data, but weather conditions–the direction and strength of wind, temperature and humidity.

7 8

According to the commander of the Consolidated artillery battalion of the South-East region, Oleksandr Pylypenko, his unit does not fire on targets in populated areas. As Pylypenko affirms, the ATO forces are doing their best to avoid civilian casualties. The task of the artillery gunners is to suppress the enemy firing points and to allow for the infantry to attack terrorists with minimal losses [to Ukrainian troops].

Dmitry Tymchuk’s Military Blog: Summary – August 4, 2014

Dmitry Tymchuk, Coordinator, Information Resistance

Translated and edited by Voices of Ukraine

Brothers and sisters!

information_resistance_logo_engHere’s the Summary for August 4, 2014 (for previous summary, please see Summary for August 1).

The bad news:

1. Over the past 24 hours, the intensity of terrorist attacks on the positions of the ATO [anti-terrorism operation] forces increased sharply–there were more than 40 attacks recorded. We do not know what operational plans have emerged for Girkin and his accomplices, but they represent an escalation of activity. The Russian army is helping them intensively, firing at Ukrainian security forces from its territory. Obviously, in the next two days the plans of the insurgents will become apparent.

The headquarters of the ATO have been developing the possible options for terrorist counterattacks. Hopefully, any attempts by the cornered terrorists (or more precisely–tri-cornered) to take revenge in any area will meet with a worthy rebuff.

2. Part of the servicemen of the 72nd mechanized brigade, who were covering the area of the border in the Chervonopartyzansk Raion [district], as well as some of our border control guards, were forced to retreat to Russian territory.

Hysterics immediately arose in the Russian media, as in: Look–400 Ukrainian soldiers surrendered to Russia all at once! They are seeking asylum! Hurry and see this!

The behind-the-scenes question remains–how does one “surrender” to Russia, if it is not at war (according to Putin)? Russian propaganda is not responding to such questions.

In fact, as we know, our guys–311 people–unwillingly entered onto Russian territory. Three-and-a-half hours of nonstop shelling from tanks, artillery, mortars and “Grads” (including the Russian army) forced a part of the brigade to break through to their fellow [Ukrainian soldiers] and others could only go in the direction of Russia. Which was immediately used in Putin’s propaganda.

3. The State Fiscal Service announced today that Ukraine “has not yet formed” a list of Russian companies and facilities on whom sanctions may be imposed. However, “the relevant question is being discussed”–which, of course, immediately comforted [everyone].

I am thrilled with our officials. There should have been five consecutive months in which to shake the West by it throat, knocking the imposition of sanctions against Putin out of it, without even getting scratched themselves–at least for the sake of form. It looks like a bad anecdote from Ukrainian bureaucracy.

The good news:

1. ATO forces entered the settlement of Yasinovataya, thereby covering Donetsk from the north. Active operations are underway in a [Donetsk] city district, as well as Horlivka, Luhansk and other settlements. The ring (more precisely, the rings) around the insurgents are shrinking.

The main problem remains–the civilian population. Humanitarian corridors from Donetsk, Luhansk, and Horlivka are [currently] open for the townspeople. But it is clear that not all will [be able to] leave. Meanwhile, the ATO forces promise not to use scorched earth tactics under any circumstances.

2. The SBU asked the Internet Association of Ukraine to block sites that distribute information that “promote war, national hatred, violent overthrow of the constitutional order or the territorial integrity of Ukraine.”

[This is] long overdue. In Russia, the mass media resources that praise separatism, terrorism and “federalization” in our country, would not even last two hours.

The evidence for this is the recent story about Moscow’s total clean-up of online resources that mentioned the organization of a March for the Federalization of Siberia on August 17th. According to the Kremlin’s version, “federalization” is for Ukraine, and Putin’s Federation is in fear of federalization. An empire of lies, hypocrisy and cynicism.

3. Russia has already started to shovel the results of European sanctions. What pleases is the blow to Putin goes through economic and military lines.

Yes, a joint European project with Russia to build an S-1000 submarine has been suspended. Germany terminated the contract to supply equipment for the training center with a simulator of hostilities in Mulino ([Nizhny Novgorod Oblast of], the Russian Federation).

But Russia responded adequately. The Russian Consumer Oversight Agency banned the American bourbon Kentucky Gentleman, finding in it (apologies for the long quote, but it is touching) “additives that can cause functional and eventually organic changes in the central and peripheral nervous systems, the endocrine system, as well as cause cancer and problems with infertility in men and women.”

Well, then it’s clear as day–the CIA mixes everything imaginable into this bourbon so as to prevent the Russians from breeding. Windex and moonshine are so much tastier and healthier. Although, speaking of Windex, its formula is still imported, God dammit…

Die Krim – Geldwäsche-Gebiet für russische Banditen?

1402437010-krimHalya Coynash – 3. August 2014

Continue reading

The Territorial Defense Battalion Batkivshchyna [Fatherland, the 34th Battalion], which was created as part of Rukh Oporu [Resistance Movement] during combat in the anti-terrorism operation (ATO) zone, destroyed the commander of the terrorist Ghost Battalion, by the last name of Lyeshyi, who operated in the self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic (LNR). According to the press service of the Batkivshchyna [party], the Deputy Commander of the Battalion, Marat Suleymanov, reported this.

RO

“Rukh Oporu” – Resistance Movement

He said that after the death of Lyeshyi, the Ghost [battalion] collapsed, and its personnel partially deserted.

The Ghost Battalion “was one of the most dangerous combat units of the so-called LNR–they only accepted professional soldiers. From the outset of the ATO, the Ghost insurgents created significant problems for the units of Ukrainian armed forces,” –said Suleymanov.

According to [his] report, Lyeshyi’s final location was determined due to the operational information collected.

“The disposal operation of his gang was conducted when this close associate of Igor Bezler (Bes) was feasting with his gang. He and other Ghost mercenaries were killed on the spot,” –said Suleymanov.

According to the deputy commander, the scouting team of the Batkivshchyna Battalion returned to its base without losses. It became known that after the destruction of Lyeshyi, Bezler increased the amount of the reward on Suleymanov’s head, whom the separatists call the “Black Zampolit [Deputy commander],” from 10,000 dollars to twice that [amount].

Meanwhile, Suleymanov said that during the overall fighting, the Batkivshchyna Battalion lost four of its servicemen in combat. Two of them were killed during the assault on Dzerzhinsky checkpoint.
