It’s obvious that in the history of modern Ukraine, not one “political corpse” has crapped on their own country and people as actively as Yanukovych. We all understand who pulls the strings; it’s pretty obvious. But even his last name is already an annoyance.

By the way, it is without any doubt that even if VFY [Viktor Fedorovych Yanukovych], by a fateful turn of events becomes a “biological corpse,” he would still be sending “messages” from his grave, asking Ukrainians to fight “against the illegitimate government.” Russian agitprop would ensure reliable communication with the other world.

Closer to home. Up until today, we have observed Russia preparing “legal grounds” for its invasion on several fronts.

The first direction – calling Yanukovych the “legitimate President.” This is an excuse to invade Ukraine at any scale. The obvious purpose is the “return of the legitimate government” to Ukraine.

The second direction is to destabilize the situation in the Southeast by using separatists. The obvious purpose is to use those separatists mouths who are occupying the local public authorities to ask Russia for “help” in “protecting their compatriots.”

The further script is clear: Russian troops would arrive quickly because they could not help but respond to the request, and by a happy coincidence were already gathered at the Ukrainian border at this time. Next – a referendum under gunpoint, and – Good bye, Southeast.

But Putin is losing his initiative. Clearly separatist attempts are down, and their leaders are more likely to change the rostrum at the city council on comfortable stools in front of an attentive investigator with the SBU [Security Service of Ukraine].

And Putin makes a knight’s move [chess term]  – he unites Yanukovuch with “the separatist card.” After his “address” today, VFY practically becomes the leader of a Ukrainian separatist counterrevolution.

There are two aspects to this – a bad one and a relatively good one.

The relatively good aspect is that in this case, it is finally clear: Putin will not encroach on the whole of Ukraine. Today’s goal for him includes the Southeast, the boundaries of which are essentially limited by the geography of Ukrainian separatism. Them he seems ready to confine.

There is nothing pleasant about this, but we are not going to expect “little green men” on Khreshchatyk [main street in Kyiv].

The bad point is that Putin does not abandon his plans to invade. And the more the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs simultaneously wails about the absence of such plans, the harder it is to believe them.

And therefore it’s too early to relax.

  2. Truth is the first victim of war, forgot if it was Churchill, or George Orwell, more than ever applies to #Russia who adulterated everything in its path to destruction of Ukraine, even the Olympics. Raise above the noise with positive and revealing assessments and the evil will crumble from the minds of the WORLD prisoners
