1. Foreign policy positions. Thanks to courageous resistance in Crimea, Ukraine has made the second round of Western sanctions against Russia possible. Russia is experiencing tremendous economic losses that exceed the losses of Ukraine by an order of magnitude. Russia is under an economic blockade. At the beginning of conflict in Crimea, Ukraine received a negative outlook from the credit ratings agencies, and Russia was a stable and prosperous country that wanted to “save” us. Now, all financial agencies give the same negative outlook to Russia – credits are not being issued to Putin, and the Russian economy is practically blocked.

2. The U.S. and the EU warned Putin – in case of an invasion of mainland Ukraine, a third round of sanctions would be imposed – and this means the full blockade of the Russian Federation, as it was during the Cold War, and the discontinuation of all economic relations.

3.  NATO has adopted a solidarity decision to unanimously support Ukraine and provide it with military and technical assistance. Ukraine will receive the greatest possible aid. The United States announced it would act as a guarantor of the protection of Ukraine in case of invasion. In case of Russian invasion and the beginning of war, the West made it clear that NATO will consider providing direct military assistance to Ukraine. NATO contingents on the borders with Russia have been fortified, and additional reinforcements continue to arrive.

4. The Ukrainian army has undergone intensive combat training for the past 5 weeks, which have not been carried out over the past 4 years. Our pilots are making more sorties per week than they previously made in a year. Our army is gaining real, not imaginary combat capability.

5. Ukrainian reforms have received the full support and approval from all western countries, IMF, NATO and the World Bank; and this work does not stop for even a day.

Conclusion: Yes, there is a war, a full-scale war against Ukraine, which has been pursued by Russian intelligence services in recent years. Just think: how is it possible to have a capable Security Service [SBU] in eastern Ukraine, if during the past four years FSB agents were in charge of the Security Service and the Ministry of Defense, who had studied at Russian military schools, served in the Soviet army, and were deliberately destroying the defensive capability of Ukraine?

Yes, we are weak in this war for objective reasons, and yes, we are suffering defeats and losses. But we’re not giving up. And the results of this struggle are obvious. Stop playing on the enemy side and stop groundless panic and hysteria.
