The Prosecutor’s Office at Tyachiv district of Zakarpattia [Transcarpathian] oblast launched a pre-trial investigation, as part of criminal proceedings, as a result of the discovery of numerous seals of the Election Commission from the Presidential elections of 2010 in the office of the Party of Regions.

This was reported by the press service of the Zakarpattia prosecutors.

The criminal proceedings have been launched under Article 357, part 1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Stealing, misappropriation, or extortion of documents, stamps and seals). This crime is punishable by a fine of up to 50 tax-free minimum incomes, or imprisonment for up to three years.
