During the “Support A Maidan Resident with a Letter” action conducted on Valentine’s Day, volunteer Anna Lukashevich and her friends just received over a thousand letters with declarations of love and admiration for self-defense units, physicians, volunteers and participants of EuroMaidan.

Activists were handing them out all day. Life decided to publish some of the most touching stories.

Hi, my hero!

Yes, it is hero, because that’s the only way we must call a person who defends our freedom. Thank you, that without harming your forces, and risking your lives, you do not surrender your help for the future of our country.

I bow before your courage. I was overwhelmed with various feelings of pride, love for all of these incredible people … But most importantly – it’s a complete belief that through heroes such as you, we can definitely expect victory.

I wish you strength and patience, for victory will soon be ours.

I love you all!

Catherine

Dear beautiful man!

We’ve never met. But it does not matter. Because we all – now – are one. Like never before. And this has created you.

There’s so much I want to tell you, but first of all – thank you! Thank you for the fact that you stand on Maidan for all those who are afraid to do it themselves. For that revives faith in the best human qualities shown by your example – that to be a man – it turns out, it’s possible. This moves even the most callous people who do not believe in anything, to tears …

Thank you for what you are, and you’re so partisan, that thanks to you we have, at long last, hope for the future, and it’s like a ray of sunshine , You’re doing a truly great job and, because of which now the whole world is watching, holding its breath.

I am madly proud of you. You deserve the most in life simply for being the kind of people you are. And I heartily wish that life loves you the way that we love you so that every day it gives you something good.

You deserve miracles, because you yourself became a miracle for us.

I wish you find your love, your very near and dear to you person with whom your life will be filled to the brim. And if such a person already exists in your life – that God give you health, understanding, faith in each other, and, of course, love, of course, love.

Happiness to you, Hero!

Afghans

I write a letter to any of the soldiers from Afghanistan that protect the future – mine and my son’s.

Hello!

I cannot even imagine how much you have gone through, because no film, no book can convey the real experience, pain, fear.
It’s very hard to put into words my admiration for all of you and all the thanks – mine and my son’s. Thank you for that which protects us again! Our freedom, our chance to change!

Thanks that despite the cold, fatigue and nervous tension, you’re standing next to the hospital badly injured. It is thanks to you that on Hrushevskiy St. it was possible to avoid more victims. You stood between Berkut and children, taught them how to protect themselves and others. I will teach my son to be proud of the fact that he is a Ukrainian, who appreciate people’s lives, rights and freedoms, and helps the weak.

I hate those who do not appreciate your contribution to the world, who have forgotten that you did not yourselves go to war, that you are worthy of a quiet life in abundance!

I am confident that we will win this fight, and, if not immediately, we will be the happiest people in the country with the lowest level of corruption and crime in the world!

Semia Kashlykovыh – Anna and Daniel

My dear heroes!

There are not enough words to express my respect and all the light-filled feelings that I feel.

Every day I am with you in my thoughts and prayers.

What you are doing for our country and for me personally, as a true patriot of my fatherland, is invaluable.

Hold out, you, my dears. With all my heart, I and my family are as one thought with you! What you do is very important.

Dear EuroMaidan Resident!

I am proud of the courage to defend your goodness and justice in our country.

Thanks to you I am even more in love with our country and am proud to live here.

You give hope that we will not perish as a nation and as a people, because is it really possible to live without dignity, without freedom?

Even if, right now, I cannot stand with you on Maidan, I am with you and my weapons are prayer, because we fight evil that dwells in the hearts of people.

Thank you for what you are.

Glory to Ukraine!

Olga, Bershad

Dear friend!

I want to confess to you that I’m in love – in sincere heart love between one Ukrainian heart and another. I am not there, but my heart is there with you on the barricades of Maidan.

I want to thank you for protecting our liberty and truth, for protecting the future of my children.

I wish you health and strength! Do not give up! I sincerely pray for you! Remember, I am close and support you with everything I can. I really believe in our victory. Know, I am very grateful to you for bringing it nearer.

I wish your life to be filled with love and happiness. I wish all your most ardent dreams come true in your life, and that in your life soon, there will be peace and tranquility. I wish you happiness and good.

Glory to Ukraine! Heroes of glory!

Dear Maidan Resident!

I am very, very grateful to you for what you are.

It is because of you I love our Ukraine, because of you I learned that not all houses are from the edge [“Krai,” part of the original meaning of Ukraine is as a border land], that you showed me what a real human, and a real man, is.

Finally, I do not want to run anywhere, but I want to stay here, in our country, and help what I can to make every effort for the development of the country and see the happy, happy Ukrainian – free, healthy, and beautiful, outside and in.

Thank you for your courage, endurance, invincibility, courtesy, care.

Thank you !

You’re the best.

I love you very much .

Hello, Brother!

Even though we may have never met, I want to tell you how I love you!

How strongly I am proud and happy that I have a brother like you – decisive, brave and true,
not indifferent, strong.

You’re not afraid and won’t bend beneath the weight! That you now stand for all of us, our will,
dignity and the right to be a free man.

I sincerely admire each of you, because for a while I was sure that the TV and the Internet had transformed us all into the indifferent. I was not just surprised, that you’re so amazing, I simply lack the words!

I pray that you, brother, receive this confession from me in love and respect.

Remember that many people are praying for you and your family, for our common victory.
Each of you are a hero in my heart, for it seemed once that would never have the chance to defend our independence, it’s thus a great happiness that you are here !

I love you, my brother.
Stay healthy.

Bogdana

Hello, lovely people!

I believe in you, in your irresistible force.

Although we are not familiar – now you’re my hero! You are my support and point of confidence in the stormy sea of our revolution.

I am proud of what you are, and what you’re doing. I know we’re going to win because you are. Thank you for a bright future, which very soon will come for you and me! Your kindness, wisdom and confidence make me stronger.

Hello !)

This letter is to get to someone from the Right Sector. That’s all I know about you.

Although, no. In fact, I know a lot more.

I know that when you come out on the fifth floor, you then hide your face behind a mask or a Balaklava. But the eyes – the eyes tell the truth. They say, that you are a man.

I know, that there they have not said of you – you’re a hero.

And in you there is great hope. And great faith – it is in you.

And if you have faith and hope, then love must be. I want to wish you love. Winged and inspirational.

And I also want to wish you – resilience and courage. I know that these are in you, but still I want to wish you them. And one more impossible thing I want to wish – that your father and mother are not so worried about you. You call or SMS them, OK…?

And I want to say – I’m very fond of you. “I know what you are. My soul from this is already dawning.”

Three months ago I could not even think that I would be familiar – in person or otherwise – with people who would become such mighty spirits.

I also want to tell you – you are now in a kind of ascetic citadel. You’re at the very front. I know that it’s difficult being there. And who knows, when it gets harder, when fear looks you in the face, or when extending the truce, but disbelief creeps in.

I want to tell you. I believe in you. In the guy from the Right Sector. The guy in the Balaklava (today’s the kind of day, one can for just half a moment carry out such high ideas and, just like a girl, admit – it’s very romantic, and the aesthetic of the barricades – excellent ). I Believe.

And it is important to me that you know – a great many people believe it is in you.

I do not know if you ever hear it, see it, feel it. So I’ll just share it: right now there are two of the most beautiful girls who are employed: in giving away tea on Maidan and bringing firewood to Maidan.

But one wants to do much more. I just want you to know, in your sometimes anxious heroic statements, or in your heroic advance, there are so many people behind you. They want to help and support you.

Because you are now – the Hottest Drop in Ukraine.

And I’m sure the victory will be ours! This is not beautiful rhetoric now, but deep inner conviction. However it may come together, it will be ours.

I thank you, that you are.

I embrace you.

Smile ) Happy Holidays to you 🙂

PS. Life is extraordinary. For the first time in my life I can confidently say, I’m glad that I live at this time. And still happier that I had the opportunity and occasion somehow to shake hands with some of you 🙂

Irina

Perhaps this is the most important thing that I want to tell you today.

In addition, the soul asks to tell you many important things for which I now have no words – only feelings. I hope and sincerely believe that they will relay to you without words, in a sort of live souls ether relay that now unites us, – all those, not all of whom are equal.

You are beautiful.

I saw you – not only in the photo, not only in translation, not only in hundreds of articles. I saw you on that day, when I was able to get away for 15 minutes, there to Khreschatyk St., to bring you a thermos of hot coffee.

You’re amazing, you remain in the heart like an eternal magic engraving. You call up a warm wave of emotion, tears of joy and admiration. With you one wants to stay because the feeling is in how you present yourselves. The soul reaches to your level and one doesn’t want to leave that.

You – our School.

God bless you. And yes, he will thank you for what you have done, are doing and will be doing.

I love you.
