If the West does not want to help, well that’s fine. But please stop the idiocy of accusing Ukrainian demonstrants of being violent hooligans. That’s just unfair.

Please could the German audience finally accept that this conflict is a conflict between the people of Ukraine and its criminal and violent government, that the protests are directed against a deeply anti-democratic state model – there is no such thing as a “parliament”, a “opposition”, “votes”, “rule of law” as we know it from the West – hence all the leftists analyses about “a turning over of a legally elected government induced by the West through violent hooligans” are just plain bullshit.

If the West feels that the Ukrainian people have a case here, it should help. This has nothing to do with taking influence, warmongering or whatsoever. If the West does not want to help, well that’s fine. But please stop the idiocy of accusing Ukrainian demonstrants of being violent hooligans. That’s just unfair. The circumstances in Ukraine differ totally from those in any other country, so comparing Ukraine protesters to Spanish protester is comparing apples with peas.

The Ukrainian “government” is using Stalinist subtle and at the same time very violent and cynical political techniques against anyone who get is in the way of the “governments” criminal affairs. Things like beating peaceful students. Things like beating activists, then abducting them from the hospitals where they are being treated, torturing them and throwing them out in the forest – to set a “warning example”. This is the outset. This is the root of the problem.

If you factor out those Stalinist techniques, then the left-wing analysts would be right. Then you have a mob rioting against a lawfully elected government. But things are the other way round, and what the leftists over here love to talk of as a “mob” is actually a society within a society that behaves – as a whole and on average – by far more peacefully, human and considerate than the criminalized cynic society outside of Maidan which Yanukowych and his gang have created (or rather: wrecked).

(A very good inside view of the state of affairs in Ukraine.
