Human rights activist Yana Goncharova writes on her post, quoting Russian media with irony:
One of the most dangerous criminals in Russia, the Ukrainian punisher who “hit men in the nuts hard enough to lift them from the ground,” a ruthless killer, a mentally deranged typical banderivka – Nadiya Savchenko sent [me] Easter cards for Ukrainian political prisoners. She made them herself, from another card. While starving on hunger strike and losing her weight and strength. So as to support the other Ukrainians, who also having a hard time in Russian prisons. If this is not humanity, then I do not know what is.
Nadiya writes to Yana:
“Yana, I’ve had some time, so I made more little postcards for Easter. I received a big one, so I divided it: one krashanka for everyone [Ed.: Easter eggs that are dyed one color and meant to be eaten on Easter morning]. And one larger one, with a chick 🙂 In all, nine eggs + 1 chick.
Today is April 10th, Sunday. Nothing is happening here for me. I’m feeling lousy, getting worse with every day. But I will last another week. The doctor here said that I am strong 🙂 Meaning, I will not die so easily! For the joy of the people, to the spite of the enemies! They have already promised to force feed me, but have also realized that it would be better not to! But they warned me, for the record and on video record, to make sure they did their job 🙂 Tomorrow I will send some mail and wait for the lawyers and consuls. Maybe they will finally give me the exact date of my FREEDOM! Chin up! Until we meet! :))
