Moscow hopes that the national dialogue in Ukraine will start the next phase of the Minsk agreement, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in an interview with NTV television on Sunday, October 19, the TASS news agency reports.

“We cannot lose Ukraine, in as much as it is not a group of individuals who have committed a coup and seized power, not those Nazis who continue to march in Kyiv and other major cities, resorting to acts of vandalism, destroying monuments and glorifying Hitler’s henchmen. Ukraine is for us – the same close, brotherly people who have shared with us historical, cultural, philosophical and civilizational roots, not to mention language and literature,” – said Lavrov.

According to him, what is happening now in the relations between the presidents (Poroshenko and Putin – Ed.), confirms that the way out of the current crisis will be found and that Russia will help their “Ukrainian brothers to agree on how they equip their own country.”

“We will support all efforts to implement the agreements reached, including Minsk, which began to be implemented, as well as those achieved with the participation of Russia, the USA and the EU in April in Geneva,” – the head of Russian diplomacy assured.

Earlier, Lavrov said that Russia contributes to the Minsk agreement not in order to get rid of anti-Russian sanctions. According to him, peace in Ukraine is in Russia’s national interests, and Western sanctions are illegal.

My dear Lavrov, you lost Ukraine forever when Putin attack it and killed their sons. Please my friend accept reality…..Ukraine is lost to Russia.

  5. My Lavrov, you want us to think of you as brothers. That is only your excuse in order to lay claim to what is not yours. Your country had a chance to become part of the great brotherhood of humankind but instead you chose to betray the invitation and display your inhumanity. You are not welcome in Ukraine and your country has become an outcast as far as the rest of the world is concerned.

Maybe he should have thought of this BEFORE stealing their land and fermenting a rebellion. They could have returned Yanuko Said words to the effect of “Sorry about that. No harm done We look forward to continuing your long and mutually beneficial relationship.” Then set about undermining the effort to move west.
Instead they chose… a different course of action.
They got part of two rust belt provinces, a barren peninsula and a port he already had access to.
The Ukrainians get the the entirety of the country.
I think Ukraine has come out of head.

“Ukraine is for us” – said the wolf to the sheep.

If he wants “to implement the agreements reached” – let’s start with the Budapest Memorandum at the top of the list.

  8. edwin says:

Ukraine is a free country, not part of Russia. Russia goodbye….

  9. Vovan says:

Wolf from Tambov is your brother, d*ckhead Lover Row! F off from Ukraine, bloody bastard!

  10. “Glorifying Hitler’s henchmen.” What if anything is he talking about?

  11. Orysia says:

Ukraina is not yours to lose. Get that into your pathetic excuses for brains.

  12. greg says:

Word “LOSE” has multiple meaning. “LOSE CONNECTION” or “LOSE BROTHERHOOD WITH” would be appropriate meaning.
However, double-talking of russian politicians is incredible. In fact they damaged the relations with the people of Ukraine, including these in breakaway region, who hoped that you double-talking KGB-minded politicians will help them.
You are occupiers and invaders. You are gangsters and rapists in eye of everyone who has a brain…
YOU LOST UKRAINE!!! Lost because of your stupidity. Lost because you are not including PEOPLE in your plans. You are loosers!

  13. Doug Britton says:

Putin started all this trouble. He needs to withdraw his minions, stop sending arms across the border and let Ukraine start to deal with the mess he created. Yes – Russia has already lost Ukraine!
