We inquired about the fate of the 10-year-old girl, whose family–father and mother–were shot by pro-Russian insurgents on May 9. She herself was very seriously injured.
As we previously reported, on the evening of May 9th on the Rostov-Kharkiv Highway near the village of Novo-Borovytsi, 15 km [9 miles] from the checkpoint of “Dolzhansky,” pro-Russian terrorists shot two Toyota cars. In one car was the child’s father; in another, the girl with her mother. The parents died, and the girl was hospitalized in serious condition.
At our request, the Head of the Public Relations Department at the Headquarters of the Interior Ministry of Ukraine in the Luhansk Oblast [region], Tetyana Pohukay, got in touch with the physicians. Doctors reported that the girl’s condition remains serious, but stable.
We wish the little girl the speediest recovery!
