According to Information Resistance data, owners of some of the large enterprises in Donbas are exerting tremendous pressure on their employees and workers in order to force them to participate in the so-called “referendum” on the annexation of Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts [regions] from Ukraine.
In particular, as reported by our IR emissaries, similar “work” is currently underway at the largest enterprise in the city of Kramatorsk. The workers are threatened that they will be dismissed in case of insubordination. The business owner is a member of the Party of Regions [Ed. Note – the party of former President Yanukovych]. According to our data, the plant owner has been trying to sell it for a long time. However, it isn’t easy, considering the threadbare production facilities. There is information that Russian businessmen have agreed to buy several departments/workshops of the plant.
Similar such signals regarding the coercion of workers by business owners to participate in the “referendum” continue to come from other towns in Donbas.
