According to operational data from the Information Resistance group, the provocation in Sloviansk that ended in deaths was carried out by the so-called “Army of Donetsk Independent Republic.”
To organize these diversions, subversives organized the theft of four cars in the neighboring towns beforehand. A certain Mr. P., who goes under “Dushman,” born in Konstiantynivka in 1963 and who has recently resided in Druzhkivka, who is currently the commander of the 3rd platoon of the battalion within the so-called “Army of Donetsk Independent Republic,” organized the theft.
According to the IR group, this citizen has recently arranged for his daughter to leave for Russia, and his wife is now preparing to travel to Moscow.
Pro-Russian extremists tossed the “Right Sector” “documents” into the cars left at the location of the diversion.
According to our data, these acts of sabotage were committed as part of an overall plan of the military and political leadership of Russia to create the conditions for [Russian] military invasion into three oblasts [regions] of Ukraine. This diversion enabled the self-proclaimed mayor of Sloviansk to demand the entry of Russian troops onto the territory of Donetsk oblast.

The person killed this night at the checkpoint in Sloviansk has been identified.
The deceased is Pavlo Povelko who resided in the village of Oleksandrivka in Sloviansk rayon [district]. His relatives went around the village and collected money for his funeral. Pavlo leaves behind a wife and two small children. He drove his car at night. He was stopped at the checkpoint and shot there. His car was burned. All the residents from Pavlo’s village who talked to our source, said that Pavlo was set up and killed to stage the attack by “Right Sector” and a news story for Russian TV channels.
