So, today I came to fight for my Ukrainian citizenship. I went up to the passport desk. What should I say? Nothing has changed in our kingdom. No stands with information. In fact, no information at all. At first it seemed there were a lot of people at the passport desk. Then I looked more closely, there was not a lot of people. It seemed they had just forced them onto the street. A common queue. Some for Russian passports, some for Ukrainian, some for German… Some to discharge, some to register… Someone just to stare. The ones for Russian passports pass each other the required documents.
I went up to the passport desk but bumped into the trash. The trash didn’t answer my questions, it just said that this is not the passport desk, just the trash. And that for all questions I had to go to the director of the passport desk. It was suddenly clear that this whole queue was for the director, because only he had the information and was keeping it strictly secret. And only looking fixedly into the visitor’s bright eyes could he reveal this awesome secret and say which documents were needed to get citizenship. So I registered at 57 in the queue. I decided I would stay for as long as it took. But after two minutes the manager’s door was thrown open and he said that he was going to headquarters and would not be back any time soon.
I thought the infuriated crowd would tear him to pieces. Just imagine, the people want to become Russian so badly that they can’t wait a day. So basically I reached the manager on the run and he decided not to reveal all his secrets, but said instead, with amazing originality “Come back tomorrow.”
I got the impression that even he did not know all the procedures in full.
Yes! About residence. There are some subtleties. There weren’t any residences in Magadan, Barkut, etc., but plenty had no residence. That is they are giving passports without residence. This is accurate information. This morning one such newly fledged Russian woman started a sober riot. She shouted that she hadn’t joined Russia to be without residence. But the lady’s issue was decided quickly. The passport desk is in the territory of the District Department of the Interior. The District Department of the Interior is already under the Russian flag. In a word the lady was now a fully fledged Russian.
The people are starting to sober up slowly. Already today I had heard the dissatisfaction of those who had voted for Russia. They say: There was no point in doing it. To break is not to build. So when will everything be normal, or will it ever be normal? I think at the end of summer when the revenues for the season are calculated, people will finally wake up.
