The Ministry of the Interior announced that they had received notification about armed provocations, according to their press service.
The Ministry of the Interior even announced the weapon caliber that would cause injuries. “According to the notice, the potential victim will have gunshot wounds from a 5×45 mm caliber,” the announcement stated.
The Ministry of the Interior “is asking radically-minded individuals to avoid any extremist actions used to incite civil war, and to stop sacrificing human lives.”
The Ministry assured that “they would do everything in their power to find and make any persons responsible for the crimes accountable for their actions.”
The standoff between riot police and the opposition in Kyiv has already resulted in the deaths of five opposition activists.

MINISTRY OF THE INTERIOR: RIOT POLICEMAN SHOT TO DEATH
The body of a policeman with a gunshot wound to the head was discovered in the Goloseyev district of Kyiv, the press service of the Ministry of the Interior has reported tonight, on January 24.
The murdered policeman was discovered by security guards who work at the construction site adjacent to the scene of the crime.
The men heard the shots and ran to the location. They called the police upon arrival at the scene. The witnesses saw two men leaving the scene.
The victim is a 27-year old senior sergeant of the department of the state protective service of the Goloseyev district police. The policeman was coming back home without his service weapon.
He lived nearby in a Berkut police hostel. Investigators are currently working the scene.
