I appeal to the ruling mafia, who seized Ukraine by force and plunged it into their dark criminal reality! Do you hear me? You do not have the right to call people who went out on Hrushevskoho Street on the 19th of January – criminals!
You, mafia in power, brought people to the edge, you snatched a saving ticket to Europe from their hands, and now you call them provocateurs!?
You, shameful bastards in power, were killing their children with clubs on Maidan, you were crushing their miserable businesses, took the last pennies from the budget to transfer to Cyprus. For sixty days you ignored millions of people who went out in the squares around the whole country, around the whole world.
When they were peacefully approaching you expecting just decisions, you threw the best of them into jail and gave them draconian prison sentences. For what? For the desire for freedom?!
You, mafia in power, cornered peaceful and optimistic Ukrainians. And now, when they could not stand this outspoken outrage and came to you, so far only to Hrushevskoho Street, you have the audacity to call these desperate people – criminals, threaten them with arrests and incite your trained killers in the form of ‘Berkut’ on them? You – mafia in power. You deserved it a long time ago and now in order to stop people, you should immediately and voluntarily go into oblivion. People demand that you disappear from their life, and I fully support them.
And you, brave sons and daughters of Ukraine, I appeal to you with words of support and faith in you! Defend Ukraine and do not be afraid of anything! Ukraine has no protection except you. There is no other way for people to overcome the mafia. Fight against them! You are heroes who put your lives on the line for Ukraine.
If I was free, I would be with you on Hrushevskoho Street.
Freedom is worth such a fight.
Yours Yulia Tymoshenko,
Kachanivska colony,
