According to operational data from the Information Resistance group, at the “Dolzhansky” checkpoint, insurgents from terrorist organizations operating in Donbas have illegally organized the “entry pass” for individuals crossing the state border with Russia.
Russian border control guards work closely with them [the insurgents] on the Russian side [of the border].
Earlier, the State Border Service of Ukraine announced about the closure of a number of checkpoints (including the “Dolzhansky” checkpoint) on the border with Russia in Luhansk Oblast [region] “due to a security situation in the region.”
On June 5, the Ukrainian Cabinet approved a decision to terminate movement through several [border] checkpoints in Luhansk and Donetsk Oblasts at the Russian border. The list also includes the “Dolzhansky” checkpoint.
Under the current contractual agreement between Ukraine and Russia, in the event of a checkpoint closure by one side, the other side is also required to stop letting individuals pass through the border at this [checkpoint] area.
According to IR, the Russian side has been notified about the termination of activity at the checkpoint “Dolzhansky” (and 7 other such objects on the Ukrainian side).
However, the Russian side inexplicably violates the bilateral contract by working closely with the terrorists.
