Chronicle of Our Victory: FEB. 21, 2014 – We won in Kyiv, Kharkiv. Solution for the unity of Ukraine

Looking Back…

Ukraine Has Conquered Death – Blog Post Made on Feb 20

“Maidan doesn’t know it yet, but it has already won – tonight, at the daybreak of February 19. When the last 15 boys did not turn and run from the barricades by the Trade Union House, and when more boys like them climbed into a burning building to save a girl’s life, disregarding the special forces all around. We won without the leaders, who were either in hospitals, or at negotiations, without some of the squadron commanders and self-defense squadrons, who were cut off near the Mariyinsky Park. Absolutely drained, unarmed, fighting without regard to any kind of tactics or sense. When the main buildings were lost and the tents were burned down, when people were left in the open air, when large Maidan shrunk to a tiny patch, when it seemed that the number of people could only grow smaller… It was then, still in complete darkness. The whole country clung to those 15 fighting boys and the happiness about a young life saved from the fire. And the wheel of history started rolling forward, if slowly. Because of the cops, arrogant politicians with toy steering wheels, throwing around maps of the country’s separation. The path ahead will still be incomprehensible, covered with new corpses, obstacles, clashes, distorted by the puttering of renegades and career climbers, by the squeals of marionettes, the cynicism of geopoliticians and the despair of the impassioned, by witch-hunts, impatience, dissatisfaction of each and everyone, by the stink of the burning regime – but the country has entered a new long track. The track of life. Ukraine has conquered its death.”

Finita La Comedia – Blog Post Made on Feb 21

Bohdan Vivcharyk:
Today, for the first time in the last three months of tragic and sad confrontation between the people and criminal Donetsk-Regionals mafia clan, I felt relieved, and my worries have calmed down a bit… Inter Channel was the first to show the remnants of the regionals’ and titushkas’ ‘Antimaidan’ in Mariyinsky Park… As soon as the VR [Verkhovna Rada, or Parliament] had voted for the amendments to the Constitution, Zakharchenko’s dogs – internal troops and Berkut – retreated from the VR at once. Titushkas ran behind them like little bitches, forgetting why they gathered there in the first place. Mariyinsky Park resembled Der Fuerer’s headquarters in late April 1945… Tents tipped over and abandoned. Scattered clothes, random things, party flags. Even a financial report – which should be studied carefully, to let the world know how much they sold their souls for. Finita la comedia. The regionals’ circus is over. On the way home, Cherkasy people burned three buses used to transport titushkas and gave them some well-deserved punches. At the Shevchenko station in Smila, they forced titushkas to sing the Ukrainian anthem and chant the ‘Banderiv’ slogan – “Glory to Ukraine!” The boomerang came back… For four years, the Donetsk gang fed the people’s anger, and it finally blew up in their face. The shockwave shook the regionals, but they’re still standing… The fight goes on, and we have no right to lose it, because our descendants will not forgive us for that. We will win. It is our historic duty and only chance. We must not waste it.

Honor the Fallen… Heaven’s Hundred on the March

21-Heaven's Squadron
Serhiy Martynyuk:

…and silently, a hundred unbroken heroes,
rose to the clear heavens,
as the eyes of worn-out millions
followed their brothers, fathers and sons;

into the dark skies, carried in open caskets,
into a better world, through their mothers’ tears.
no forgiveness for the murderers, and none for us
if we let go to waste the deaths of those who loved,
struck down just a few steps away from the truth,
who burned for us and were extinguished before the spring.
and so, the fallen sons of their land,
form ranks into a heaven’s hundred, and march on.

our hearts ablaze, souls free,
we face the dawn and look towards a new life,
and the heroes never die, but call us to the barricades.
the frozen earth may take their bodies,
but their unbroken spirit marches on.
with clattering of shields, with song and prayer,
all those who lay their lives down these dark days,
our heroes keep on marching by our side.

VIDEO: Ultimatum from the people of Maidan – Yanukovych must resign

February 21 – It Begins

21:26 – Yanukovych Has Fled Kyiv. Which Means He Will Never Return Here as President.

Bohdana Babych:
Yanukovych has fled. I have just walked onto the territory of the Presidential Administration. There are only two security guards here. Everyone else has run off. A viewer of spilno.tv called and said that buses full of security guards are leaving Mezhyhirya [Yanukovych’s residence]. We should verify this. Any idea what to turn his palace into? Maybe a museum?

Meanwhile, It Kept Raining Lenins…

Ukrayinska Pravda:

23:15 – Maidan’s Phone Hotline Flooded by Offers of Help

Iryna Mukhina:
Today, our hotline is exploding with offers of help.

Some good news: over the last few days, we’ve had a psychologist [therapist] on duty, because a need for that appeared. After a few hours of work, the psychologist was astounded by the number of calls to the hotline where people offered help.
She says that therapy for some people should be done right in the middle of work of EuromaidanSOS.
Our hotline is, indeed, red-hot with the number of people and of initiatives that are created to provide some real help.

“Self-treatment”, “self-guard”, “self-defense”, “self-patrol”, “self-transport” and so many other self-teams are created with lightning speed. Equally fast, donation accounts are filled up, and all needs of the people of Maidan are being met.
I don’t know where we got all these resources from… How can we be this wealthy… But I believe in our nation, and I don’t just hope – I know that the start of the new state of Ukraine is here and now!

00:25 – Some “Lost” Berkut Officers Caught Near Kyiv

Maidan Self-Defense via Facebook:
Near Knyazhychi village, Kyiv Oblast, a hundred activists are hunting down 40 Berkut officers. The media reported earlier that shots were fired at activists who were blocking a bus with titushkas in the same area. Reports say four people were injured.

As of 00:25, Berkut lay down their arms.

01:10 – Conscript Soldiers Abandoned by Commander

Volodymyr Ariev:
Commander of internal troops Shulyak abandoned conscript soldiers to their own devices. Many of these 18-19-year-old kids spread around Kyiv and went into hiding, afraid of being lynched. Today, we brought some of them to the Kyiv city base of internal troops, which publicly announced that it moved to the side of the people.

I speak to everyone wearing a solderier’s uniform – you’ve been abandoned! Leave your doubts behind and come over to the side of the people. We’ll finish the gang together!

02:30 – Maidan’s Self-Defense Controls the Government Quarter

Maidan Commandant, Andriy Parubiy, MP from Batkivschyna:
21-self-defense
“7th Self-Defense Squadron is stationed near the Verkhovna Rada. A squadron of the Right Sector is there as well,” says Parubiy. “Squadrons 19 and 3 guard the Presidential Administration, and Squadron 15, the Central Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.”

“We told policemen that they all can come over to the side of Maidan. We are ready to patrol together with them, as long as they wear a blue and yellow ribbon, to signify that they are with us and serve Maidan. We told them that we’ve got enough ribbons for everyone, and every good and honest policeman should come over to us,” Parubiy emphasized.

He also noted that right now, ten young men from the internal forces are already by the Cabinet of Ministers, standing guard together with the self-defense and preserving peace.

Parubiy noted that right now, Kyiv must be in perfect order, better than ever, and then establish the same level of order in all of Ukraine. “Even now, we must make sure that titushkas brought here from all over Ukraine don’t go marauding. We have a great responsibility for this. Even now, we hear unfortunate reports that titushkas, disguised as Maidan self-defense, rob stores. We must put an end to this and show that Ukraine has no tolerance for marauders.”

06:04 – News from the Southern Kyiv Barricade

EuroMaydan, Facebook:
The task of the barricade at the southern border of Kyiv is to prevent the Vegetable’s [Yanukovych’s] enforcer squads enter the capital from the south. All suspicious cars are being inspected. Buses with police are not being let into the city right now (they are strongly asked to please turn around and go home). During this night, the block-post turned around three police buses. Twice, snipers opened fire on the block post, one of these times – from an AK. It was a miracle that no one died!

The block-post is located near the Teremky subway station, 200-300 m towards Kib.Center checkpoint, opposite a Velyka Kyshenya supermarket.

06:58 – Yanukovych Loses Dnipropetrivsk AND Crimea?

Alina Gashek:
Igor Kolomoysky Bashes Separatism Talks:

Igor Kolomoysky, one of the most powerful Ukrainian oligarchs, owner of dozens of companies in the southeast of Ukraine, owner of 1+1 TV channel, gave an exclusive interview to Censor.net, in which he voiced his opinion of the congress of the Party of Regions in Kharkiv, which will be held tomorrow, surrounded by calls for the eastern and southern oblasts to break away from Ukraine…

“In my home Dnipropetrivsk oblast, separatism will not fly. More than that, separatism will not fly in any southeastern region of our country. I want all politicians to consider the situation with a level head, and form their stance, first of all, with regard to the Constitution of Ukraine and the Criminal Procedural Code. Anyone who tries to go against the unity of Ukraine will lose.

I would like to personally address one man – Mr. Kernes, the mayor of Kharkiv. Hennadiy Adolphovych, I find it strange that you of all people should open ‘The Ukrainian Front’. You will earn a moral right to command a front and lead it into battle once you’ve had some combat training instead of cycling, and once you start risking your own live or the lives of your family. As for separatist statements, you can only make them if you send your son on holiday to Dagestan rather than the Maldives, or maybe the train station in Volgograd – let him have a look and tell you what they’re like. Maybe that will cool you off. God forbid you from having to look in the faces of mothers whose sons may never come back from the front you want to create. Ukraine has never waged an invasive war – but it won’t give an inch of its land away, either. Mr. Kernes, if you start playing with fates of millions, you may make your own fate more difficult, and it isn’t looking that bright as it is. Think about it.”

Yanukovych, Kernes, Vilkul and other bandits – if you read this, you must understand that tomorrow, you will lose Dnipropetrivsk oblast. Glory to Ukraine!

CRIMEAN PARLIAMENT TODAY: UNITY, NO SEPARATISM
In Simferopol, the “separatist” session of the Crimean parliament, announced on Friday, failed. Instead, the majority of deputies gathered at the extended meeting of the Party of Regions, which discussed the political situation in Ukraine and supported its territorial integrity. The Speaker of the Crimean Parliament, member of Party of Regions, Volodymyr Konstantinov, left, despite his promise to journalists. The Security Service of Ukraine, meanwhile threatened to hold “some politicians” responsible for separatism.

“The tone of the speaker and MPs who spoke, was to ensure that in these difficult circumstances, we should do everything to maintain stability and constitutional order. The Crimean parliament traditionally supports the integrity of the country,” – said Grigory Ioffe, Deputy Speaker.

On the eve, Speaker of the Crimean Parliament Vladimir Konstantinov visited Moscow. The results of visit are still unknown. The Speaker refused to talk to reporters. The parliamentary press office suggested he will talk to the press this coming week.

Chairman of the Majlis Refat Chubarov in an interview with Radio Liberty said that Konstantinov may soon have to give an explanation to the law enforcement authorities. Today, the Security Service of Ukraine said it will take strong measures to stop any attacks on the territorial integrity of the country and bring to justice all those involved in such activities. “Konstantinov spent a very long time hesitating, between the promises which he gave in Moscow and the reality that developed in Ukraine” – Chubarov said. – Radio Liberty, via Euromaidan.
