The pictures I took of the skirmish at October Palace aren’t with me now, but I will try to get them tonight. This is what I did afterward. After losing the ground around the building on high ground, Maidan protestors fell back. A small number remained to set a tire firewall on the steps leading to the building to prevent police descent – I stayed with them to document. The police sprayed buckshot as well as throwing large stones from their perch above.

Completely removed from the politics of the situation, this is an interesting example of cover / visual interference tactics.
