“Whomever wants to feel European,
can do it through the Party of Regions”

A deputy from the Party of Regions, Mikhail Chechetov, argues that Parliament yesterday passed laws that meet European standards.

“For the first time in Ukraine we accepted a large packet of Euro-integrational laws, more, than in the past year. Now, whomever wanted to feel European, to swallow fresh European air, can do it through the Party of Regions,” quoted Chechetov’s newspaper, “Vesti”.

These laws clearly prescribe rules of conduct for law enforcement officials as well as ordinary citizens. This means, if you captured the town hall – you get prison, if you went to the house of a citizen, started calling him names and painting all over his fence – prison. By following such rules we live in Europe. And grants that interfere in the internal affairs of the state, will no longer touch us. And appropriate funds will report for every penny – for what and where they went,” – said Chechetov.

The People’s Deputy, said: “And citizens who come out for peaceful protest actions, can stand just as long as is necessary, and where necessary – how and where the court determines. Or local state authorities.”

As iPress.ua printed, on Thursday, January 16, the majority in Parliament adopted several laws without debate, and without the participation of deputies of the opposition, a vote of the members of the Party of Regions, the Communist Party, as well as some unaffiliated. For some of these laws they voted immediately as a basis and as a whole, without the electronic system – by a show of hands.
