Iryna Lutsenko, MP: We tried, with Yuriy, for an hour to get from Berkut the truth about their actions, required them to show their ID documents and take off their masks. For an hour they resisted. After this, once we got off the bus, people continued to demand that the Berkut troups show their ID and remove their masks to see their faces and identify them, like they identify activists.

Instead the Berkut officers started beating people. Yuriy as the former Minister of the Interior [which Berkut answers to] stood between the people and Berkut foces to stop any bloodshed. Berkut officers began to mercilessly beat him over the head with blood flowing like a river. They smashed his glasses on his face. He fell unconscious, only then did they cease to beat him!!!

People have called an ambulance, now we are going to the clinic. Yuriy is conscious again, he is speaking.

Ірина Луценко, народний депутат: ми годину з Юрою намагалися добитися від Беркуту правди про їхні подальші дії, вимагали показати документи і зняти маски. Годину вони відпиралися. Після того, як ми вийшли з автобусу, люди продовжували вимагати від беркутівців показати посвідчення і зняти маски, щоб бачити їх обличчя і ідентифікувати, як вони ідентифікуюють мінингуючих.
Натомість беркутівці почали бити людей. Юра як мініст внутрішніх справ став між людьми і беркутівцями, щоб припинити кровоприлиття. Беркутівці почали нещадно бити його по голові, кров лилася рікою. Розбили на обличчі окуляри. Він впав, втратив свідомість, лише тоді вони перестали його бити!!!
Люди викликали швидку допомогу, зараз їдемо в клініку. Юра при свідомості, говорить.
Травми голови великі.
