Near Kiev Svyatoshinsky district court there was a fight in which several activists and journalists were injured severely. About this scene with our LB.ua correspondent.

LB.ua: Fight with “Berkut” at the Kyiv Court Svyatoshynsky (video)

As LB.ua previously wrote, after the verdict in the case of “VASILKOVSKY terrorists” activists who protested on the streets, blocked exits from the court yard to prevent police from taking away the prisoners.

“Berkut” pushed people blocking the exits, and some injured badly.

In particular, photojournalist Alexei Chernyshev was badly beaten, he called it “fast”, but he refused to be hospitalized.

Press photographer LB.ua Max Levin was hit numerous times in the legs, they smashed his camera by breaking the lens or flash (the camera was broken intentionally, says the photographer). In his post, he was beat by three or four “Berkut” special police with batons who were also kicking him. The security officials continued to beat Max Levine even after he said that he was a journalist.

One of the activists pulled a muscle in his leg. “Berkut” also seriously injured an elderly activist. The rest received lesser injuries.

In total, more than a dozen people injured. 6-7 ambulances arrived on the scene.

Our LB.ua correspondent reports that the police were trying to calm the other “Berkut” fighters down – in particular, those who beat an elderly man. As a result, one of the policemen also received a baton from another “Berkut” riot police, who did not understand that he was hitting his own colleague.

The three “VASILKOVSKY terrorists” were sentenced to six years in prison – for their intention to undermine the Lenin monument in Borispol.
