UkrPost issued a stamp dedicated to Nadiya Savchenko, imprisoned in Russia.
Ukrposhta (Ukraine’s postal service, UkrPost) has issued a stamp dedicated to Ukrainian pilot, Aidar [battalion] fighter, Member of Parliament, PACE delegate, and Hero of Ukraine Nadiya Savchenko, who was illegally kidnapped on the territory of Donbas and taken to Russia.
On it’s website, UkrPost states:
“In support of our compatriot, the Hero of Ukraine Nadiya Savchenko – UkrPost launched its own letter stamp of the pilot, which she will be given as a gift together with a letter from all the employees.”
“We are very worried for the fate of our Nadiya, because she is an example for each of us. As [Taras] Shevchenko put it: ‘Fight – and you will overcome!’ She is not just a pilot, not just our fellow-countrywoman, she is first of all a woman who should not suffer like this. We wish to see her back in her native land healthy and smiling as soon as possible!” – stated UkrPost’s Acting Director General, Ihor Tkachuk.
