An interview with Mykola Volynko, Head of the Trade Union of Donbas Miners
By Ilya Azar, April 22
For a second week, the Donetsk region has been shaken by an armed revolt, whose participants demand that Kyiv hold a referendum about the future of the region. The anti-terrorist operation mounted by the central government failed, the negotiations by the governor of the Donetsk region Serhiy Taruta did not manage to produce any results either. In the Donbas town of Sloviansk which was seized by the “people’s militia” there is regular shooting, and the “people’s mayor” there has again asked Putin to send peacekeeping troops to the region.

God bless Mykola Volynko for the courage he has to speak the truth plain and simple! I can see why this man is the Head of the Trade Miners’ Union in Donbas! He is a man among men, a man’s man! Not afraid to criticize Putin or anyone else, including the Russian interviewer for their views that do not match with plain and simple reality. Yes, it is refreshing to learn that the Donbas miners were there on Maidan Square last Winter fighting for Freedom for ALL of Ukraine, not only for the West! And today Ukraine will be united as the General Elections begin tomorrow! With a publicly elected President of Ukraine, Ukraine will finally enter the 21st Century as a contender, as a new Republic reborn this month of May 2014. The future of Ukraine is as bright as the faith of the Ukrainian people! And judging from the raw courage of the Maidan Movement and from the pure simple faith of men like Mykola Volynko, no doubt the world is their oyster! There is nothing that the Ukrainian people cannot do if they will to do it! God bless the Republic of Ukraine! God Bless the People of Ukraine! and may God bless the newly-elected President of Ukraine (whoever he or she may be!)! Long live Ukraine–FREE and Independent for ever!
