Doctors from Euromaidan medical services tried to resuscitate Serhiy Nigoyan who was brought in after he had been shot, they injected him with adrenaline, but it did not help. When the priest came over for last rights, he could not keep it in and burst out crying.

Ulyana Bilous, a doctor from Lviv witnessed it. Ulyana visited Maidan for the third time when events on Hrushevskoho happened. She had to take a leave of absence, which her superiors approved.

She tried to hide the fear, but immediately found herself in the epicenter of events. During her shift on the night of January 22, the medics brought in seriously wounded people every 10-15 minutes up until the morning. Head, neck, and chest wounds were among the most common injuries. Brigades had their own operation table. Ulyana was responsible for one of those tables. She saw how a young man in critical condition was put on a neighboring table. Immediately, many doctors gathered around the table and started to resuscitate the young man. They started injecting adrenaline… Ulyana filled the syringe. All their efforts were in vain – the young man died. Serhiy Nigoyan was that man.

Ulyana knew him from before when she worked with mobile brigades. She remembers how he asked for her help with a cut finger. He was a happy person. After his death, the priest came over for the last rights. When he was finished with the prayer, the priest burst out crying. It turned out that the priest’s son who was about the same age as Nigoyan died on the very same day a couple of years ago.

!st video: He beautifully recites a poem by Ukrainian national poet Taras Shevchenko called “The Caucuses”. You can read it here: https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?id=192171867493752&story_fbid=688675697843364
2nd video: He says he went to Maidan because he could not sit still once the first students were beaten. He was born in Ukraine and lives in Ukraine and will stand on Maidan till the end and he’s come to support the people amongst whom he was born and lives. (At this point I want to start crying again)…
3rd video: has english subtitles turn them on if you don’t see them
4th video: going back and forth on their wanting him to present and identify himself for the camera and he’s being humble and says he doesn’t want to it will sound funny and people will laugh. It’s such a stupid conversation they want him to present himself a certain way and he obviously thinks it’s stupid and doesn’t want to, finally says: I’m a sportsman, well, he’s in sports. He will be on Maidan 2, 3 months as long as it takes. And “brother for brother, each for the other”
5th video: News. 1st to be killed on Maidan. Came from Dnipropetrovsk on Dec. 1st. His parents were informed. He was 21 yrs old. Mum says she wants no media because they won’t return her child to her. That’s it, then they talk about the second person who died. Papa says he told him not to go there.
      6th video: Is his funeral.

You’re welcome! Right, “Winter on Fire: Ukraine’s Fight for Freedom” by Director Evgeny Afineevsky. Yes, it’s masterfully edited and well done, glad you enjoyed it, we did too! It’s up for an Oscar now in the documentary category. Cheers!
