SOS FROM UKRAINE!

We appeal to all European and international media feeling sympathy for and not indifferent about the destiny of Ukraine and its 46 million population and able to help us.

On 16 January, 2014, a package of laws was adopted by the pro-government majority in Ukrainian Parliament with serious and deliberate procedural and constitutional violations that stipulate severe punishments for those dissenting with being turned into slaves if they have courage to openly express their protest. A new totalitarian regime is being established in the close neighborhood of the European Union, and under its rule, Ukraine will turn into something resembling – not Belarus or Russia – but rather North Korea.

Even in India, led by Gandhi to independence from British rule, the situation was not as threatening as in Ukraine, because the British Empire, including India, had independent media and courts.

It’s time for every honest person, especially journalists, to do something as far as he/she can. Only real steps by the international community and governments may help to stop the repressions spiraling in Ukraine. Please, disseminate and share the information about what is going on in our country and push your officials to introduce sanctions against the members of this criminal Ukrainian establishment which is suppressing human rights and freedoms!

You can help us. Please, do it! And please, this needs to be done immediately, because doing this tomorrow will be too late! On our part, we do everything we can, but unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to be sufficient. Countries’ borders should be transparent for the cause of establishment of and struggle for high human values!
