One of Kyiv Post contributors writes: ” I’ve just come from the small shopping area “Kvadrat” between Arsenalna and Lavra. Anti-maidan supporters are based in buses near Lavra, so everyday they pass through “Kvadrat”, many of them drunk. I was told by one shop assistant that this morning a bunch of these anti-maindan people were stealing some stationery from a shop “Sokrat” there by grabbing and running away. People who work there are were scared because there are only two security guards for the whole area who apparently can’t do anything about it. This shop assistant also told me that anti-maidan supporters get Hr 1,000 per night, and 500-600 Hr per day. She said that when the weather became colder, people became very hard to persuade to stay, which is why they are offered more money now.”
