Rynat Akhmetov bribed separatists in Donetsk, stated separatist leader Pavlo Hubaryev in an interview with “Rossiyskaya Gazeta”.

According to Hubaryev, after the Party of Regions has lost credibility, it was not possible to restore it. “In these circumstances, the leaders of the so-called people’s militia began to emerge in all cities. The ruling party, the eastern oligarchs, resorted to the same suitable means of bribery. There were no threats, perhaps; rather bribery and intrigue with activists of the people’s militia,” he said.
